Donegal debut new away jersey in Croke Park against Dublin

Niall McIntyre

They wore it for the first time against Dublin on Saturday night.

Donegal travelled down to Croke Park to take on All-Ireland champions Dublin on Saturday night in an Allianz League third round Division One clash.

It’s a must-win for Declan Bonner’s men, considering they’ve been on the wrong side of tight games against both Kerry and Galway in the games that preceded this one.

Lose here, and they’ll be staring down the barrel of a real relegation scrap.

It’s a new look Donegal side this year. They’ve a young team, but the reintroduction of Odhran Mac Niallais some other experienced campaigners to the panel has been timely.

They took to the Croke Park turf with a new jersey as well, and it’s fair to say it’s gone down a treat with all eir sport viewers and the majority present at the game in Drumcondra.

It’s an old style geansaí, resembling their away jersey of the 1990s.
