You can’t blame some Manchester United fans for their reaction to this Paul Pogba free-kick

Paul Pogba put in another patchy performance for Manchester United in their Europa League game against FC Rostov at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Jose Mourinho’s side booked their place in the quarter-finals thanks to Juan Mata’s goal, and Pogba was substituted for Marouane Fellaini just after half-time.

The French midfielder left the field clutching his hamstring.

There has yet to be an update on the severity of his injury, but it could be argued Pogba would benefit from a couple of games out of the team. The 23-year-old has been in poor form recently.

He struggled against Rostov in the first-leg, and against Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final, and put in another underwhelming performance on Thursday.

Pogba, once again, arguably tried too hard to make an impression on the game, and lacked discipline at times.

Which drew this reaction from some United fans at Old Trafford.

There were a few laughs, and bewildered looks, and you can’t really blame them.

Yes, he’s a talented player and form is only temporary, but there’s no denying that Pogba is currently struggling.

The watching public, or at least those who were on social media during the game, weren’t kind to him.
