Jurgen Klopp was a man on a mission last night.
The German was not content with masterminding a 2-1 win over Chelsea. No, he had other business to take care of.
Klopp sought out each and every Liverpool player on the Stamford Bridge pitch and delivered a big, warm hug.
His interactions with the Liverpool players show a strong bond has developed within the squad. It is interesting to see who got the perfunctory hug and who got extra attention, and glowing words, from the coach. Adam Lallana, you lucky boy…
Post-match, Klopp was one of the only people in the press conference backing away from premature title talk. He told reporters:
“We have 10 points. That is fantastic after really difficult fixtures. We have to be happy but the season is not over.
“We can play football, we have shown that and now we are convinced about our quality.”
Klopp is convinced and it looks like the players are convinced too.
The movement is growing.
