"Merse suddenly drops his sunglasses' case - for his expensive sunglasses. Somebody got stripped off to go dive in the canal after them. "We wouldn't let him but we held him over the side of the canal, full-length with a couple of people holding his legs so he didn't go in. "He managed to hook the sunglasses case with Merse's sunglasses in them. He got back out, in triumph, opened the case but nothing in there.
