Video: Michael Owen and Daniel Sturridge reveal their favourite Liverpool goals

'It's called ghosting,' declares MickyO, 'I'll have to teach you about that'

151 goals between them but only enough room, and time, for a top three. Each.

Michael Owen and Daniel Sturridge were directed to a dark room, armed with BT Sport microphones, and gently persuaded to lavish commentary and praise over each other’s finest goals in Liverpool colours.

Owen has 118 in 216 games, as a red, while Sturridge has, so far, hit the net 33 times in 47 outings.

Among Owen’s favourites are a curled effort against Manchester United, a derby goal against Everton and his FA Cup final winner against Arsenal in 2001.

Sturridge has scored some fine goals in his two years in Merseyside but, surprisingly, some of his preferred net ripplers are flicks and close range efforts… and a beautiful lob.
