Martin O’Neill believes Keane was struggling to manage workload and family time.
Republic of Ireland manager, and keen vlogger, Martin O’Neill has spoke about his assistant Roy Keane’s decision to walk away from his role with Aston Villa.Keane resigned from his position as the Premier League’s assistant manager earlier today.
O’Neill emphasised his delight with the commitment of the former Manchester United midfielder to the national team’s cause and stated Keane was anxious to spend more time with his family. The Ireland manager, speaking in the video on the FAI’s website also believed Keane’s lack of a summer holiday may also have been a factor in his decision.
