Or maybe the two lads just aren’t very chatty in the morning, but, as Iker Casillas does sign autographs for waiting fans, his beef looks to be with his international team-mate.
The two Spanish goalkeepers noticeably avoid making any type of contact in this video released by Spanish media outlet Marca. Not a hello, or a wave, or a thumbs up in sight from the pair towards each other.
Is this a sign that Casillas is threatened by the younger goalkeeper? And that he believes, like most football fans at this stage, that the Manchester United goalkeeper will be arriving at Real Madrid this summer and replacing him as first choice ‘keeper?
I think we can say that yes, this is a definite sign that David de Gea will be at the Bernabeu next season. It also means that Casillas, if he’s still around, won’t be a supportive team-mate. He’ll be ignoring Dave in the canteen, hoping he concedes a boat load of goals and will fill his car’s petrol tank with sugar.
