Manchester United used to make a handy habit of plucking Spurs’ best playmakers and goalscorers but, thankfully for Hotspur fans, that practice has died out in recent years. The bad news, however, is the permanent interest Real Madrid now have in the club.

The Daily Mail reports that a Real scout has thrice watched Kane in action this season and, most recently, has caught man-of-the-match, winning performances against Chelsea and Arsenal. The paper notes Real’s forward duo of Karim Benzema [27] and Cristiano Ronaldo [30] are not getting any younger.
We bet Ronaldo currently has eight white coats employed in a Portuguese laboratory, working on an everlasting youth elixir.
Real are preparing for a polite David de Gea ‘No’ as they hunt for a replacement for error-prone goalkeeper Iker Casillas. And, while the scouts are camped out at the Lane, Tottenham stopper Hugo Lloris is being watched. The Frenchman has been vital in the club’s push for the Champions League spots. [Daily Express]
