The Premier League plan to crack down on illegal streaming

No more free rides

SportsJOE

The game is almost up…

“Anyone got a good stream for the game?” is something you’ll see online most Saturday afternoons during the Premier League season.

Instead of paying a ball of money each month on a subscription, you could spend five minutes closing pop-up ads to get a foreign language stream of your game for free.

You’d lose the stream, squint to see players and find out about the score on Twitter before the delay would catch up on your screen but the benefit was… it was free.

That could all be about to change. The Premier League are planning a serious clampdown on illegal streaming following their recent £5bn record TV rights deal

They’ve already blocked three of the biggest streaming sites in the UK and plan on censoring over 100 more in the near future, the wily devils.

It looks like free Premier League on our laptops is coming to an end. Sorry lads…
