Someone has been messing around with poor Tom Cleverley's Wikipedia page
Yes, it says that he's a midfielder and that he gets paid to play football but that's not even what we're laughing at. This time.
Nor is it the fact that he has 13 England caps or that no Everton fan has really bothered to take the opportunity to big him up or even update the fact that he is joining them in the summer.
Oh no, it's his blessed youth career.
We should've known.
We should've all known that, since the age of just 11, he wasn't mixing it in the rough and tumble, impure fields of England. He was off in beautiful Spain, perfecting the game of football as the art that it should be.
That's why he compares himself to the Spaniards. Because he basically is one.
And, whilst we take Wikipedia for what it is because anyone can just jump in and change it, we found the fact that this one had slipped through the editors' grasps quite amusing.
Maybe they just believed that Tom Cleverley really did spend nine years of his youth career at Real Madrid. That's why he's so good now. And that's why he's not appreciated on these islands.
