It wasn’t a surprise to see Shane Lowry miss out on being one of Darren Clarke’s three wildcard picks.
Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Thomas Pieters got the nod for the upcoming Ryder Cup, due to get underway on September 30 in Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota.

Lowry has tweeted since Europe’s Ryder Cup captain Clarke made his decision on Tuesday afternoon.
The Offaly golfer expressed his disappointment, but admitted that he can’t dispute his compatriot’s decision, and that he was looking forward to cheering-on the European team as they seek to retain the competition.
Gutted not to be on the @RyderCupEurope team but can't argue with the captains picks. Look forward to cheering on the lads in a few weeks.
