The Brazilian legend has bought the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

Ronaldo bought a stake in the North American Soccer League team last month and said he wants to be involved in the management of the club.

The Florida club currently play in the country’s second tier and are named after the original NASL franchise, which once featured legends of the game such as George Best, Gerd Muller and Gordon Banks. Ronaldo revealed the news of his purchase through Instagram, ahead of a scheduled press conference on Wednesday.

The 38 year old is regarded as one of the best to ever play the game. Ronaldo scored 352 goals in 518 games over 17 years, winning two World Cups and three World Player of the Year awards. The Brazilian will also face his former teammate Raul when the season begins, after the Spanish striker signed for New York Cosmos last year.
