Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. bitten on the head after scoring brace against Atletico Madrid’s reserves

Real Madrid's summer signing was involved in everything

Vinicius Jr. won’t forget his first experience of the Madrid derby.

The reserve sides of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid met this weekend and played out a predictably fiery 2-2 draw.

Real Madrid splashed out a reported £38 million to acquire the services of Vinicius Jr. this summer and had to wait until the Brazilian turned 18 before they could unveil him.

Big things are expected of the forward, who has been compared to Neymar, and he found the net on two occasions for Real Madrid Castilla on Sunday.

Vinicius’ second goal was a thing of beauty but it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the teenager.

Having clearly frustrated the Atleti defence with his trickery, Vinicius drew a foul from his marker in the second half.

He then found out all about the kind of hostility that he can expect from the senior derby when he inevitably breaks into the first team.

The Brazil U20 international had the back of his head bitten by the opposition captain, Tachi, after a coming-together in the middle of the park.

Incredibly, both players received a booking for the incident.

Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui has allowed Vinicius to train with the first-team squad in recent weeks but the youngster will have to wait for an injury or suspension before he is granted the opportunity to prove his worth with the big boys.
