Apparently Rafa “The Grinch” Benitez doesn’t have a sense of humour.
The Real Madrid head coach, according to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, punished Isco for laughing during their 10-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
The midfielder can be seen joking with teammates on the bench during Sunday’s game at the Bernabeu. However, apparently Rafa took issue with the player joking after Madrid’s opponents took the lead.
The former Liverpool manager is then seen discussing something with his assistant, and Isco remained on the bench.

It must be stressed the evidence is pretty inconclusive. What’s not in doubt is that certain aspects of the Madrid media will use anything to get one over Rafa.
