Pic: Charlton Athletic put trolling fan in his place with epic response

Nicely played

Robert Redmond

Charlton 1, trolling fan 0.

The fan in question would undoubtedly dispute being called a ‘troll’, but asking for people to be sacked is bad form. The Championship club’s official Twitter account tweeted a video of goalkeeper Stephen Henderson’s best saves last season, prompting a response from the trolling fan.

The disgruntled fan wrote; ‘Evidently have too many staff about. How about sacking some of them and put there wages towards better players?’ Instead of telling the fan that the combined wages of those who work on the club’s social media would amount to one awful, awful footballer, Charlton put the fan in his place with a very witty response.

The club’s Twitter game proved to be strong last season, This tweet ahead of their match with promoted Bournemouth shows their social media department is money well spent.
