One Premier League player has earned his team 22 points this season

No wonder he (not Soldado!) has been linked with a move to Manchester United

Tottenham will surely be offering their two stars an improved contract before the year is out.

The Premier League season is drawing to a close and most of the major issues – title winners, Champions League and Europa League spots, relegation [two from three] – have been decided.

With that in mind, Sky Sports asked their boffins to focus on some of the individual achievements in the league.

They totted up points earned by the goals scored of a host of players.

The names are not overly surprising but it is interesting to see how vital each player’s contribution has been to his team’s cause.

Far and away the biggest points earner is Tottenham’s Harry Kane. His 20 league goals have meant 22 points for Spurs.

On the other hand, Sergio Aguero has 25 league goals but only won his team 11 points.
