It's always frustrating seeing a player tipped for big things stutter due to factors out of his control, but that hasn't stopped football fans from having a swipe at the United fan following his friendly invitation to an Adidas competition.
Like many Adidas-affiliated footballers, Phil Jones has been asking football fans to take part in a new competition to design new alternate kits for Adidas sponsored football clubs.
