Has it really come to this?
Jose Mourinho now has a worse record in his first 14 games as Manchester United boss than David Moyes. If that is not enough to send United fans into a shrieking panic, nothing is.
United lost 4-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and are now six points adrift of top spot. They are five back from a Liverpool side they showed little ambition to Anfield last week.
A week is a long time in sport. While United were being lambasted for shutting up shop at Anfield, they have caused online ructions for failing to do likewise so spectacularly in London.

As usually follows any remorseless tonking, fans have attempted to fire-fight with a list of solutions for Mourinho’s men.
A couple are astute revelations. Depressingly, most of them reek of desperation.
Leadership required
Is Schweinsteiger the calming influence we need right now? We have no leaders on the pitch so why not bring him back in.

Get Michael Carrick into that midfield
@ManUtd Carrick is needed in front of the rear defence: it will surely assist the transition of passes from defence to attack

Get that talented, if slightly low on confidence, Frenchman into midfield

has anyone seen Morgan Schneiderlin, asking for a friend? RT to raise Schneiderlin awareness.

Get Michael Carrick back… in defence
Remember when we play Carrick in defence?? We still winning..

Get Van Gaal back?
Van Gaal managed a better win ratio with cab drivers like Borthwick Jackson & Donald Love in our defence. Fucking comical

Turn to birthday boy Wayne Rooney?
Happy birthday @WayneRooney . I pray this new age resurges your game. United misses you & we want our captain back. I still believe
