A nice touch from one of Liam Miller’s former clubs.
Manchester United are to pay their own tribute to former midfielder Liam Miller during their Premier League clash with Newcastle United, at St James’ Park.
United will take part in a moments’ observation of Miller, who passed away on Friday after a cancer battle, ahead of kick-off against Newcastle.
They will also don black armbands as a mark of respect to Miller and all he gave to the club.

On Saturday, a day after the untimely passing of the 36-year-old Cork native, Alex Ferguson – Miller’s former boss at United – paid tribute to his professionalism and personality in a short statement, released on United’s official website.
“I am very sad to hear that Liam has died. He was a good professional, who served our club in an excellent manner. He was a quiet, unassuming young man and was popular with everyone at Carrington. On behalf of all my staff who worked with Liam at the time, we send our deepest sympathy to his family.”
United have also confirmed their team for the early afternoon clash with the Geordies.
Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba are in the centre of the park with an attacking quartet of Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku.
