Manchester City have made another bid for Riyad Mahrez.
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League leaders submitted a fourth, and apparently “final”, offer for Mahrez, worth £65m. Sky also claim that City have offered Leicester City a player as part of the deal.
However, they are yet to reveal which player has been offered to the Foxes.

Mahrez submitted a transfer request on Tuesday, after it become known that City were interested and had bid £50m for him. Leicester rejected that bid, and the next two offers from City. They were understood to value the Algerian forward at closer to £90m, after raising their valuation following Philippe Coutinho’s £142m transfer to Barcelona and Virgil van Dijk’s £75m transfer to Liverpool.
Mahrez has been in excellent form this season, scoring eight goals and registering seven assists. The 26-year-old is arguably the best Premier League player outside of the top six, and was named PFA Player of the Year for his performances when Leicester won the league in 2016. He scored 17 goals and had 11 assists that season. Yet, until now, the Algerian has never come close to leaving Leicester and joining a team which regularly competes in the Champions League.
City have moved for Mahrez after losing Leroy Sane to injury for the next six weeks. Leicester were originally set against selling Mahrez, but they are now reportedly considering City’s latest offer.
