Ben Chilwell is among the options Man United are considering as they look for competition for Luke Shaw, as per Mail Sport.
United are holding a recruitment meeting today as they look forward to potential summer options.
Chilwell, also capped many times by England, is not in the Euro 2024 squad.
It came as a shock when Chilwell was not called up by Gareth Southgate for the final team, especially after featuring only earlier this year in friendlies.
The English full-back only featured 17 times last season in the Premier League for Chelsea and there are question marks from Utd fans regarding the potential signing.
Shaw on the other hand has managed to overcome injury problems to play, despite only featuring in the latter stages of the game against Switzerland.
It is still up in the air at the moment as to whether Shaw will start on Wednesday against the Netherlands.
One fan stated on X that they would prefer Sergio Reguilón of Tottenham Hotspur, who spent the first half of last season on loan at Old Trafford, instead of Chilwell.
Would 100% rather reguilon 👀

Whether he would return though is another question.
With initial interest expressed for Chilwell, Man Utd are also very advanced in talks for another signing.
That one player is Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee, who is currently at Bologna in Italy.
In the coming days the Red Devils are expected to meet his £34million release clause, which is seen as huge value for money in the modern day market.
In the last 24 hours discussions have moved forward drastically and a deal is seen now as 'very close'.
AC Milan were initially seen as in the driver's seat, however, Man United have now moved clearly ahead in the race.
