Jurgen Klopp makes two vibrant changes for Tottenham clash

Should be a cracker

These two sides have served up some fizzing fare in recent weeks.

Neither Liverpool nor Tottenham have started the season roaring but a victory today could see them top the table, for a few hours at least.

Jurgen Klopp has made two changes from the side that featured in the League Cup win over Burton Albion midweek. Gigi Wijnaldum and Philippe Coutinho return to the starting line-up in place of Emre Can and Divock Origi.

Both Wijnaldum and Coutinho – both attack-minded players – had key roles in the 4-3 league-opening win over Arsenal as did Sadio Mané, who now appears to be over his shoulder issue.

Klopp is keeping Daniel Sturridge in reserve while James Milner continues at left back.

Injury to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris aside, Tottenham are at full strength. Harry Kane captains the side and leads the line while Erik Lamela will be hoping to give him as much attacking support as possible after a bright start to the season.

Tottenham have the likes of Ben Davies and new Dutch striker Vincent Janssen on their subs’ bench.
