Liverpool have almost made back the money for the stand redevelopment already.
The blow of Anfield’s £120m redevelopment looks to have softened considerably with a naming rights partner set to come on board.
The Liverpool Echo are reporting that the club are set to tie up a £90m deal for the naming rights to the main stand at the hallowed Anfield.
Fenway Sports Group have admirably ruled out any potential bids for the naming rights of the whole stadium but they could give up a stand of Anfield in a 10-year deal.
As of the summer, the club are also seeking a new training kit sponsor and it is believed that element could be included with the stand rights in a bumper package that would bring serious dough straight back into the club.
£90m to name a stand though. Imagine what they could get if they gave up the Anfield name…
