Liverpool have already been in polite touch with Lille this season to ask if Divock Origi might be interested in joining the club sooner than planned.
The query was met with a firm no by the French club but Brendan Rodsgers may be tempted to pick up the phone again. Origi signed for Liverpool for £10m in July but is not set to arrive at Anfield until next season.
