Liverpool have made a bid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with the Arsenal midfielder’s future at the Emirates increasingly uncertain due to a stall in his new contract talks.
The 23-year-old has been at the club since signing from Southampton as a teenager in 2011 for £12 million.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a known long-time admirer of Chamberlain and he is eager to secure the services of the winger ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea who are also both reportedly interested.
Liverpool’s interest in Chamberlain first came to light five months ago but Arsenal were reluctant to let go of their player in the middle of the season.
