Lazio forward Ciro Immobile was taken to hospital after being involved in a car accident after smashing into a tram in Rome on Sunday morning.
Immobile was involved in Lazio’s 2-0 win against Spezia on Friday to lift them into second spot however just days later was involved in a crash along with his two daughters.
Footage of the incident appeared to show the front of the car completely smashed after colliding with a tram but thankfully, the forward and his children were able to walk away.
One witness told AGWT: “I saw the car arrive and then the crash, lots of people on the tram, the driver, on the ground.”

Speaking shortly after getting out of his vehicle, Immobile said: “The tram ran a red light. Luckily I’m fine, my arm just hurts a little.”
Gazzetta dello Sport added that several other cars were involved in the crash while passengers on the tram couldn’t confirm if it had ran the red light.
The 33-year-old and his two daughters were taken to hospital as a precaution but none of the three were seriously injured, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that the forward had a bloodied hand and may have fractured his shoulder.
Maurizio Sarri will be hoping that his main talisman will be able to return to action as they look to consolidate their place in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
