Kevin De Bruyne suffers “knee ligament” injury in training

It is believed to be a similar injury to that which he suffered in 2016, when he tore ligaments in his knee and ankle

Any team in the world would miss a player of De Bruyne’s quality.

Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly suffered a knee injury while training at Manchester City.

The extent of the injury is not yet known but the staff at Man City are reportedly fearing that he could be ruled out of action for more than two months.

The Belgian midfielder suffered a similar injury against Everton back in 2016, when he was stretchered off after tearing ligaments in his knee and ankle.

He missed two months of the 2015/16 Premier League season after that injury; City will be hoping that this injury is less serious.

Manchester City will be without the playmaker for the foreseeable future but have adequate cover in Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva and Bernardo Silva.
