Iker Casillas makes compilation of the worst blunders of his career in support of Loris Karius

Former Spain and Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is driving support for embattled Liverpool shotstopper Loris Karius.

The Liverpool number one has made a string of errors following his nightmare performance in Liverpool’s 3-1 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid in May.

The arrival of Brazilian international Alisson Becker from Roma could see Karius forced out of the club but Casillas has rallied around the 25-year-old and pleaded for sympathy with the German’s current predicament.

The Spanish international tweeted from his official Twitter account:

‘Will this attack ever end? I’m talking about him like so many other goalkeepers. There are many more serious problems in the world fuck! Leave the Kid alone! He’s also a person. As we all are!’

The 2010 World Cup winner then followed up his original tweet with another message on Tuesday which contained an attached link showing some of the worst blunders of his otherwise impeccable professional career.

Casillas wrote: ‘Behind each one of us, there is one person. Let him raise his hand who has not ever failed. Learning from our mistakes will make us stronger and accept them more human.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that the situation between Karius and Becker at the club is not perfect but added that there is still some time left in the transfer market to arrange a possible move away from Anfield.

“Of course it’s not perfect for me, but I cannot say much more about it either,” he said.

“I do not know that, I cannot say what I’m doing right now, there’s still some time left [in the transfer window].”
