Gary Lineker highlights incredible Arsenal fact after loss to Man United

Arsenal have lost away from home for the sixth consecutive league game.

The Gunners fell to a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday, Arsene Wenger’s final match as Arsenal manager at Old Trafford.

Before the game, Alex Ferguson presented Wenger with a gift at the side of the pitch, and when the action got underway, Arsenal repaid the favour and gifted United some goals.

They defended poorly for both of United’s goals in the defeat.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan levelled the score in the second-half after Paul Pogba found the net in the first-half.

With the game drifting towards a 1-1 draw, Ashley Young collected the ball outside Arsenal’s penalty area. He floated a cross for substitute Marouane Fellaini to score in stoppage time and win the game.

Arsenal’s defenders didn’t put any pressure on Young, an excellent crosser of the ball, and retreated to allow Fellaini win his header and the game.

The Gunners go home without any points, but they’re used to the feeling.

As Gary Lineker highlighted following the game, Arsenal have still not gained a single point away from home in 2018.

In fact, Arsenal have been so poor away from home in 2018, they have the worst away record of any team in England’s top six divisions.

Arsenal have the second-best record at home in the Premier League this season, but their away form shows why Wenger is leaving and the club are seeking change.
