Arsenal have made Skhodran Mustafi the most expensive defender in their history, forking out £35m for the German international.
And Arsenal fans have been quick to ask some important questions. You know, things like ‘will he play on the right or the left of Laurent Koscielny?’, ‘what’s his injury record like?’, and ‘what the hell was that dance all about?’.
Which dance? This dance, just after Germany’s 2014 World Cup victory.
We’d call it ‘dad-dancing’, but that’s harsh both on dads and on the general concept of physical movement.
Thankfully (?), Mustafi has revealed all in an interview with the club shortly after signing from Valencia.
“Obviously after you win a World Cup, you lose control of everything and you just enjoy the moment,” Mustafi said.
“Per is a funny guy and so am I. I like to enjoy myself. I like to enjoy the moments when you win games or when you win a World Cup.
“In this moment we were both funny, happy and dancing around.”
When quizzed on which of the pair was the better dancer, he pledged to leave it to the fans to decide.
