Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United has taken a step closer.

According to Matt Law, reporting in The Telegraph, Sanchez has agreed a four-and-a-half year contract with United – a deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until the end of the 2021/2022 Premier League season.

The deal for the Arsenal forward will cost £60m in total – the Gunners will receive a £30m transfer fee, his agent will get a reported £10m and there’s other payments, such as a signing-on fee, included in the package.

The 29-year-old has six months left on his contract at the Emirates, but has almost certainly played his final game for Arsenal, and is now waiting on the move to United to be completed.

Sanchez’s transfer has been delayed because Henrikh Mkhitaryan [pictured above, left] has yet to decide if he wants to move to Arsenal as part of the deal. If the Armenian does want to join Arsene Wenger’s team, then United’s transfer for Sanchez will be triggered.
