The only caveat was that Shearer had to select players who feature on the game's Ultimate Team legend team, but it's hard to argue against any of the selections.
Shearer opts for Peter Schmeichel in goal. A back three of Paulo Maldini, Franz Beckenbauer and Bobby Moore, with Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo as wingbacks. Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira and Rudd Gullit are in midfield, and Marco van Basten and Pele are up front.
Between them they've won eight World Cups, five European Championships and numerous European Cups and individual awards. An amazing team.
We're not sure about Figo as a wingback though.
