The 55-man shortlist for 2015 FIFPro World XI has been released.
It will come as no surprise that Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona players dominate the list. In fact, over half of all those who made the cut belong to one of those three teams.
However, 10 Premier League players were shortlisted including David de Gea and Wayne Rooney from Manchester United, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Chelsea’s John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic as well as Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero of Manchester City.
Some notable absentees include Diego Costa, Alvaro Morata and Mesut Ozil, but judging by the depth in the shortlist, they can’t really go too far wrong with the final XI.
