The GAA Hour: Diarmuid Connolly discusses his rivalry with Mayo’s Lee Keegan

Wooly talks to the Dublin star for the first time

Sean McMahon

The St Vincent’s man is looking to add to his medal haul.

On the latest edition of the GAA Hour, Diarmuid Connolly argues that it’s hard work and not talent which has brought him into the conversation of being one of the greatest players in the game today.

He also talks openly about his much publicised rivalry with Lee Keegan, his perceived dislike of the media and his views on the black card.

In addition to this, Colm Parkinson and Mikey Stafford are joined on the line by Dublin’s Mark Schutte who takes us through Cuala’s excellent win at the weekend as they made history by becoming only the second Dublin club to win the Leinster club hurling title.

All that and the lads also discuss the future of the inter-provincial championships and whether the GAA are doing enough to promote the competition.

Diarmuid Connolly makes his long overdue GAA Hour debut and talks to Colm Parkinson about everything from the black card to his rivalry with Lee Keegan and how he honed the ability to kick accurately with either foot.
