Watch: James Lowe seals Leinster win with sensational double

Jack O'Toole

Leinster winger James Lowe was at his absolute best against Munster on Saturday.

The former Chiefs flier has been incredible since moving to Dublin from Waikato last season and has fit in seamlessly into the eastern province both on and off the pitch.

Lowe now has 14 tries in 17 games for Leinster and he continues to impress in every showing, none more so than against Munster at the Aviva Stadium.

Lowe could have had a hat-trick but was taken out by Keith Earls just before the line in the first-half, resulting in a yellow card for the Ireland winger, but he crossed a shortwhile later with an incredible individual try.

Lowe powered his way through the challenge of compatriot Alby Mathewson before scoring under similar circumstances in the second-half as he brushed his way through the tackle of Jean Kleyn to score in the corner.

The second try in particular took incredible strength and awareness to not only take the tackle of the South African but then to still have the spatial awareness to keep himself in the field of play while still finding a way to touch the ball down.

Leinster were brilliant against Munster, and while fly-half Ross Byrne may have won the official man of the match, Lowe certainly was a big contributor on a very big day for the PRO14 champions.
