Homeworld of sport

The historical bad blood between Egypt and Israel carried over onto the, err, judo mat on Friday afternoon.

Islam El Shehaby lost to Israel's Or Sasson in the first-round of the men's over 100kg judo contest, and broke a basic protocol of any sport following the the bout. The Egyptian blankly refused to shake his opponent's hand, leaving Sasson looking perplexed and prompting boos from the Rio crowd. This is easily the poorest piece of sportsmanship you're going to see at the Olympics, beyond, well, you know, that thing that rhymes with "roping". https://twitter.com/zaidbenjamin/status/764145005770502144
