No filter.

A day after helping to eliminate Team GB in the Men's Lightweight Double Sculls semi-final, Gary and Paul O'Donovan joked, "Tis great to beat the Brits." Just over 24 hours later and the Cork rowers were interviewed by the BBC after claiming silver medal in a tense, break-neck final. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/764098734451990528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Having first chatted to RTE, the brothers were then waved over to the BBC microphone. Gary's opening line, before the questions began, summed up a carefree, light-hearted attitude that has won himself and his brother so many fans. Grinning widely, he remarked:
"We'll have to be careful with what we say to these lads."
Gary and Paul went on to pay tribute to everyone that had helped them achieve their goal and were not shy in praising the victorious French pair Pierre Houin and Jeremie Azou. The O'Donovans' interview with the Beeb went down a treat. https://twitter.com/elaineoconnor24/status/764100802608766976 https://twitter.com/howareyacreepin/status/764132595860922368 https://twitter.com/theminxeffect/status/764107495187111936 https://twitter.com/tomomeara5/status/764117771663896577 We wouldn't put it past old Johnny Inverdale.
