Just as Dana White can count on Conor McGregor to bring in hundreds of thousands of viewers, The Notorious can rely on Uncle Dana to give him the heads-up when needs be.

The UFC president has revealed what he told McGregor when he leaned in to whisper in the Dubliner's ear early on in the UFC's Go Big event on Friday night. Those watching presumed that White had intervened to tell the verbose McGregor to stop interrupting questions asked to the other fighters on stage as The Notorious continued to do so but that wasn't the case. "I told him that his zipper was down," White said. "That's it. Everybody thought that I was talking to him about telling him to calm down. His zipper was down. Everybody always reads into it and thinks there's this crazy conversations going on up here. "He was jumping up talking shit to everybody and his zipper was down." You can see after White told the interim featherweight champion that he was flying low, McGregor duly drops his hands to sort himself out. So there you have it, Dana White is a true pal.
