Fabricio Werdum isn't taking Conor McGregor's trash talk sitting down.

The UFC heavyweight champion became the latest victim of the Notorious one and has responded to McGregor singling him out during his acceptance speech at an MMA awards ceremony. McGregor sent a video message to the assembled audience of MMA media and fighters in which he questioned the Brazilian, a team-mate of the Dubliner's upcoming lightweight title fight opponent, Rafael dos Anjos, for pulling out of his scheduled defence against Cain Velasquez with a toe injury. "We've got the heavyweight champion, who's a pussy, pulling out with a sore toe," McGregor ranted. "How's the heavyweight champion going to pull out with a sore toe? What kind of champion is that?" Werdum hit back last night with an Instagram post of an infamous picture of former Premier League rivals Carlos Tevez and Rio Ferdinand, with he and McGregor photoshopped in place of the Manchester derby rivals. The post read: "Please Werdum :: Go slow :: easy you are a heavyweight !!! Wow !!! Now I love you more than #DanaWhite . now I know why."
