Cork's Aidan Coleman was recovering last night after suffering injuries in a bizarre incident at Southwell.

The jockey was allegedly attacked by one racegoer in the weighing room at the track, and is understood to have suffered some minor facial injuries. Coleman was just finished riding in the last race of the night when he was confronted by two men in the weighing room. According to The Guardian the jockey has been passed fit to ride on Wednesday despite his injuries and fellow jockey Paul Moloney witnessed the incident. He described the bizarre scene as the jockeys were getting ready to head home.
“When I came into the weighing room after the last, there were these two blokes there. They looked pretty drunk to me.” "I don’t think these guys knew anything much about racing.”
The racecourse confirmed that three people had been arrested after the incident https://twitter.com/Southwell_Races/status/648932398319714305 While local police in Nottinghamshire also issued a statement to confirm they were investigating the incident. https://twitter.com/PA_Stables/status/648942868141375488 https://twitter.com/MCYeeehaaa/status/648950260061077504
