Graeme McDowell holds his nerve to claim dramatic play-off win in Mexico

Graeme McDowell is good pals with Rory McIlroy, but the Ulsterman really could learn something from his younger colleague about not putting us through the horrors of nerve shredding play-offs in Mexico. McDowell is celebrating just his third ever US PGA tour win this afternoon, after he edged Russell Knox and Jason Bohn in a play-off at the OHL Classic in Mexico. He's picked up a cheque for over $1million dollars, and the win has also guaranteed his place at next year's Masters. The Monday finish was a result of poor weather over the weekend, with Knox and McDowell tied on 19 under from Sunday evening. McDowell ended yesterday after 13 holes and he looked on course for a tight finish when he bogeyed the 16th this afternoon to drop him to -18.
