Watch: Sunderland fans sing anti-IRA song after James McClean celebration

Looking at this clip, it makes it strange to think James McClean that ever played for Sunderland.

The Derry winger played the best football of his career for the Black Cats in the second half of the 2011/2012 season. McClean scored five goals in 23 Premier League appearances, under then manager Martin O'Neill, and worked his way into the Republic of Ireland squad for Euro 2012. Since then, McClean hasn't made the headlines for footballing reasons, and his latest incident involved a melee between Sunderland and West Brom players. Danny Graham and Lee Cattermole, in particular, took issue with McClean celebrating in front of the away support, following West Brom's 1-0 win over Sunderland at The Hawthorns, and it's safe to say the winger isn't a popular man with Sunderland fans. They'd booed and jeered McClean throughout the game and, after the players had left the pitch, and the home fans left the ground, a section of Sunderland's fans sang a sectarian "song", called "F*** the IRA".
