What was he thinking?

Liverpool went 0-1 down against Bordeaux in the Europa League on Thursday night and the finger of blame can be squarely pointed at Simon Mignolet for the game's opener. The keeper gave away an indirect free kick, 16 yards out and straight in front of goal for disobeying the six-second rule. Mignolet held onto the ball for over 20 seconds before the referee finally blew up and awarded Bordeaux the free. https://twitter.com/LFCMostar/status/669980323665416192?lang=en Henri Saivet stepped up and duly converted the indirect free. https://twitter.com/FMundofutbol16/status/669983099950907392?lang=en The Twitterati were not too pleased with Mignolet for his outrageous error. https://twitter.com/Aus_Red/status/669983042904064000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw https://twitter.com/anfieldforum96/status/669983154355232768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw https://twitter.com/DietmarHamann/status/669979796668067840 https://twitter.com/Footy_Jokes/status/669979662446034944 https://twitter.com/ItsJurgenKlopp/status/669979887139201024 https://twitter.com/comicalklopp/status/669979385269760000 https://twitter.com/Jay82_LFC/status/669979353401458688
