Who could ever forget when Sunderland scored a goal to beat Liverpool with a
massive deflection of a beachball at the Stadium of Light?
Ok,so it was five years ago and maybe not everybody remembers it but it was massive news at the time and with Liverpool playing Sunderland on Saturday just gone it was back in people's minds.
Just not in this poor woman's mind who made an absolute clanger on national TV earlier.
Even if you hadn't a notion surely if you were given three answers as to how Sunderland scored that day you wouldn't pick the one that this woman did on today's edition of the Chase.
She decided that the possibility that the ball deflected in off an ice-cream van was more credible than it hitting a 'beachball' or a 'sunbathing German'.
We're big fans of the TV show and we get all smug when we know something the Chaser doesn't but this has to go down as one of the worst answers on a quiz ever.
