VIDEO: Chelsea condemn racist fans who prevented black man from getting on Paris Metro

Stoneage stuff from visiting Chelsea supporters in Paris

Jose Mourinho's side secured a valuable 1-1 draw with PSG last night in the opening leg of their Champions League tie in Paris, but the club have been thrown into controversy after actions by a minority of their travelling support. Video footage uploaded to The Guardian website last night appears to show a number of  visiting fans singing racist songs and preventing a black man for catching a metro at the  Richelieu – Drouot stop. The man tries to get on the train several times but is pushed back out of the carriage by the crowded group, and is then racially abused with the supporters signing 'We’re racist, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it' The club last night apologised for the incident and condemned those responsible :

'Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society. We will support any criminal action against those involved, and should evidence point to involvement of Chelsea season-ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them, including banning orders.'

The incident comes as Paris is still on high alert after the gun attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices and a number of high profile incidents across the city in recent weeks. We hope those involved get lengthy bans and don't come out of their caves ever again. H/T to The Guardian
