The cardinal sin for any football fan.

Spencer Evans left Anfield at half-time during their Europa League game against Borussia Dortmund, with the score on the night 0-2, and 1-3 on aggregate. At that stage, the Reds needed three goals to progress, a feat akin to a miracle against of the best sides of Europe. The Liverpool fan, a Kop season-ticket holder, decided it was a lost cause and left the stadium. Cue miracle. Dejan Lovren scored in the last minute, winning the game for Liverpool 4-3 on the night, 5-4 on aggregate. Now this fan has to live with the fact he left the ground early, and missed out on one of the best European nights ever witnessed at Anfield. https://twitter.com/Spena1975/status/720724153750417409 While one has to admire Spencer's honesty and bravery in admitting he left the ground early, a cardinal sin for any football fan, Twitter users had no sympathy for him.
