Brendan Rodgers has made his first UK media appearance since being sacked by Liverpool back in October.

The Northern Irishman was on Sky Sports show Goals on Sunday, and spoke on a range of topics. From his pride in managing Liverpool - "Liverpool is one of the great institutions of the world". To the prospect of him managing abroad - "It's something I would consider. I've had a few offers since I've been out, to go abroad and also at home." To his surprise at Gary Neville becoming head coach at Valencia - "I was surprised but he has been so brave in doing in it. To jump straight out of the studio, and I know he works with England, but being the No.1 is totally different. Fair play to him to go over to another country where communication isn't easy." There was no mention of "character", but Rodgers was very diplomatic through his appearance. However, the reaction on Twitter was mixed. Some were impressed with Rodgers dignified manner. https://twitter.com/colinlfc220611/status/688683936235581440 https://twitter.com/MikLFC/status/688683362186334208 https://twitter.com/AnfieldHQ/status/688682099310751744 https://twitter.com/HenryJackson87/status/688680133004259329 Others were waiting for Rodgers to utter that infamous word - character. https://twitter.com/MartMcClelland/status/688683211526918144 https://twitter.com/30038f6fc79b430/status/688678891985174528 https://twitter.com/kfirealcatrez/status/688681232163405824 https://twitter.com/NatRowland/status/688678139057278976 Others just can't warm to the former Liverpool manager. https://twitter.com/joe_obrien34/status/688691914418294784 https://twitter.com/joe_obrien34/status/688691742409908225 https://twitter.com/LucindaW71/status/688678157604491264 https://twitter.com/FunkyNab/status/688692674791084032 https://twitter.com/smorganldn/status/688691750257455104 https://twitter.com/jaysmith93/status/688691822940549120
