The Republic of Ireland winger tweeted a photo of him and Martin McGuinness. Northern Ireland's deputy first minister called for a poll on the issue of a united Ireland in the immediate wake of the United Kingdom leaving the EU. McClean echoed McGuinness' sentiments in his tweet, which was soon deleted. McClean's Twitter account was deleted shortly after. The winger was part of the Ireland team that recorded a historic 1-0 win over Italy on Wednesday and is preparing to face Euro 2016 hosts France on Sunday in Lille.
