Roy Hodgson is definitely a bigger fan of experience than he is of form.

Heads were scratched raw and eyebrows raised to fringes when England's final Euro 2016 squad was released on Tuesday afternoon. The glaring inclusion was that of Jack Wilshere, who has started just one game all season for Arsenal, being named ahead of Premier League winner Danny Drinkwater. Arsenal v VfL Wolfsburg - Emirates Cup Drinkwater had been a stalwart for Claudio Ranieri's giantkilling Leicester throughout the season and was in many Premier League Team of the Year selections for fans and pundits alike. But Roy Hodgson is a Wilshere guy through and through, and Drinkwater paid the price. It's safe to say the internet was left a little bit bemused by the decision. https://twitter.com/adam_major1/status/737630631316852736 https://twitter.com/GRokerReport/status/737629963579318272 https://twitter.com/SWFCDebater/status/737630067187167236 https://twitter.com/louic16/status/737630143531888640 https://twitter.com/SeanMillington/status/737630342425763840 https://twitter.com/_Mattic/status/737630820438016000 https://twitter.com/DaveGarghan9/status/737630801865494532 https://twitter.com/kevkelly504/status/737630792936001536 https://twitter.com/ThomasPullen/status/737630610081075200 https://twitter.com/davidfriel81/status/737630355474255872 Snapchat
