Maybe this explains why the fight was a bit of snooze-fest.

Scott Quigg fought eight rounds of his super-bantamweight title bout against Carl Frampton with a broken jaw, according to his promoter Eddie Hearn. The Manchester boxer, who lost the fight, and his WBA belt, on a split decision, reportedly had his jaw broke by Frampton in the fourth round with an uppercut, and underwent surgery on Sunday morning.Carl Frampton v Scott Quigg - World Super-Bantamweight Title Fight https://twitter.com/EddieHearn/status/703879147328827392 Quigg was consoled by Wayne Rooney in his dressing room following the bout, and the Manchester United captain told him "chin up", to which the 27 year old replied "I'll have to straighten it first." https://twitter.com/BBCMancSports/status/703745419541618688 https://twitter.com/BBCMancSports/status/703742280432291840 There was a lot of praise for Quigg for fighting on despite suffering such a debilitating injury. https://twitter.com/paulorossradio/status/703747215135784960 https://twitter.com/DanielDaws1/status/703882295015505921 https://twitter.com/DFletcherSport/status/703872172247400448 https://twitter.com/PaulSmithJnr/status/703882671387250688 However, it arguably raises questions over why his corner didn't pull him from the fight. https://twitter.com/KCsixtyseven/status/703864399308541952
